June Celebrations

In June we get to celebrate Father's Day and my birthday.

At just ten and a half months old our little man is walking!!! So bittersweet...(The video is a little blurry as it was taken on Matt's cell phone.)

Things We Love About Charleston

Pralines! Have you ever had a praline? A little piece of decadence for your mouth! So yummy and when they are freshly made and still a little bit warm they just melt in your mouth. Every time we walked down Market Street past the sweet shop the air was perfumed with the smell of pralines. The best part? They give free samples. You can bet every time we passed we got one!


Shopping at the Piggly Wiggly. There is just something so quaint and distinctly Southern about saying, "I am going down to the Piggly Wiggly to pick up some milk."

Batter Up!

Madelynne was absolutely thrilled when her Daddy bought her a baseball bat and ball! That they came in pink was purely a bonus! Madelynne could not wait to go outside and play baseball with Daddy and much to our surprise she is actually a really good hitter (she didn't get that coordination from me). Grampa Borgersen would be so proud!
