jackson's a big brother

WOW!  No little boy could be more excited than Jackson to be a big brother.  Madelynne and Jackson were both anxious to meet their new brother.  Here are the pictures from the first time they met our sweet baby, Luke.

Jackson holding Luke for the first time.  When Madelynne and Jackson first walked in the hospital room to meet Luke all of the sudden Jackson looked so much older to me.  He was no longer the baby of the family.  He is the now big brother.  So bittersweet for the mama in that time is going way too fast.  Why can't they just stay little?

Madelynne of course was hoping for a sister, but she came around to the idea of having two little brothers.  She is a great big sister to both of her brothers.

jackson's preschool graduation

This year was Jackson's first year of preschool.  He was thrilled he got to go to school just like Madelynne.  I think preschool graduation is so fun.  The kids really have no clue what is going on and they do whatever they want.  It cracks me up.  I love this age!

Jackson loves to sing and did a great job singing all of the songs for the graduation program.  His watermelon shaker he had for singing "down by the bay" was a big distraction for him, but he overcame it and sang his little heart out.

These pictures make me laugh because this is when each child's name is called for them to receive their diploma.  They were sitting up in the choir seats and as you can see were pretty antsy.  This is what makes preschool graduation so fun.

And this.  Jackson is using his diploma as a megaphone.  Nice.

daisy scouts award ceremony

Madelynne became a Daisy Scout this year.  Her troop had a fun filled, very busy year.  Madelynne's troop sold so many Girl Scout cookies they got their registration fee for next year waived.  They had a lot of great opportunities to learn new things, help in the community, and learn how to be good citizens.

madelynne's kindergarten concert

The last month of school was extremely busy around here.  We had so many things on the schedule it didn't seem like there was a good time to squeeze in having a baby.  Somehow we managed to do it all and have a baby!  This was Madelynne's kindergarten vocal concert.  Of course this late in the pregnancy it made Mommy cry to think that Madelynne was almost done with kindergarten.
